10 million years ago, the Ghent region in Belgium was occupied by a tropical lagoon where sharks lived. The dried-up sea has given way to sandpits in which archaeologists have found fossilized teeth. Louise Kopij has sourced one of these archaeologists to create a limited edition pair of gold-filled earrings set with a stone from one and a precious fossil on the other.
